Living in Five Points
Five Points is the classic Raleigh neighborhood people picture when they think of front porches. Named for the intersection of Glenwood Avenue, Fairview Road and Whitaker Mill Road, it includes the Hayes Barton, Vanguard Park and Bloomsbury areas, with homes built mostly between 1915 and 1950.
Prices are higher than the Raleigh median because the location is hard to beat: downtown is a short drive, the Rose Garden and Rose Garden Theatre are close, and many kids can walk or bike to school. Expect smaller lots, older systems and a lot of charm. We always recommend a sewer scope on homes this age.
